Purpose
This SHE plan explains the Safety ,Health and Environment Issues at construction site and the procedures that shall be followed by HEEPL.
Scope
This SHE Plan has been prepared to encompass many of the high risk activities and operations which will initially be carried out on construction site and the methods by which control measures are to be put in place to minimize the risk of injury or ill health occurring in our workplace and prevention of pollution.
GENERAL SAFETY RULES
- It is our responsibility to arrange/ attend a meeting /training for their employees by the safety personnel during their mobilization and before start up of their work.
- It is our responsibility to get all machinery, tools and tackles checked by safety department before taking those equipment in the site of construction for their use.
- All employee must use appropriate PPE as per the job/task requirement.
- In case of any understanding/clarity of the requirement, anyone can consult the Site In charge/ safety department in advance before the start up of job.
- We must check the locations of Fire Extinguisher and First Aid boxes location in their work sheds or in the location where work is carried out.
- In case of any losses due to fire or damages due to the negligence of any employee by bypassing safety rules ,the same will be recovered from them .
- The personnel employed have to adhere to the rules & regulations of the factory and must maintain discipline at all times.
- Smoking within the factory premises is strictly prohibited.
- Our employees must not report to work in an intoxicated condition. Drinking of alcohol on the site is strictly prohibited.
- We will engage experienced Safety stewards to oversee the safety of the job and workers.
- Safety steward should be present at the work site throughout the work.
- In his absence he is expected to nominate other person and inform project manager and Safety Manager accordingly.
- Our representative must report to project Manger / concerned head of department(HOD) daily before starting work, in order to (a) Establish the scope of the day's work(b) To obtain the necessary work permits.
- Any work beyond normal working hours needs permission from the concerned authority.
- Do not panic in case of an emergency. Follow the instructions of the responsible person for handling emergency.
- Throwing of objects or making loud and unusual noises may distract attention of others from work and can cause an accident.
- Maintain good housekeeping at the site.
- Report unsafe conditions or unsafe acts to the site in charge.
- Do not start work without relevant work permit.
- Diesel must be store in secluded place.
